Why are your fees so inexpensive? Is there a catch?
Showhomes Home Managers live in vacant homes for sale. These homes are difficult to sell and having someone live in and stage a vacant home makes a huge difference in the sale of the home. In exchange for keeping the home clean and allowing Realtors to show it, you get a steeply discounted monthly fee. The only catch is you have to move when it sells - hopefully to the next Showhome!

Do I have to sign a lease?
No - one of the great advantages of becoming a Home Manager is that we only require a ninety day minimum stay in our system. Our Home Managers are independent contractors helping stage a vacant home and not tenants. Because the home is for sale and will go to closing, it is not possible to lease or rent the home out.

I have kids - Is that a problem?

No - almost half of our Home Managers are families with children. Many large homes are designed for families and they simply sell better when occupied and staged by families. Potential buyers with children react better to a home with kids.
Do I have to decorate the home?
No - one of the wonderful advantages of becoming a Home Manager is that Showhomes supplies a stager to set up your entire home. Our design team will carefully arrange your furniture, artwork and accessories so that the home looks great and has the best chance of selling.
